Spark's natural imagery is one of bright, hot fragments of light that shoot out from metal as two pieces collide. This barely noticeable bit of light and heat is but an infant of something much larger. If the spark were to connect with something flammable or something that can fan the growing smolder the spark births from a single point to a roaring flame. As the work progresses it grows from a very small point of sound in the viola to a large string sound with exciting rhythmic movement
